Our number one goal is for you to have a great experience and receive expert care. A great experience is defined by our five-star service and our top quality dentistry. It starts with a sincerely interested person greeting you when you call. Then, you'll have a personal introduction when you arrive. We make sure you're 100% comfortable with every procedure we propose. We take care of all of the little things that can make a difference in our patient's day: free WiFi during your wait, refreshments, music and wireless headphones and tv/movies during your procedure are just a few.
At Elite Dental Associates, we use technology and photography to help guide conversations about the importance of maintaining oral health. A picture is worth a thousand words, and the ability to see what we're seeing is very important for patients making informed decisions about treatment options and needs. Our goal is to provide high-quality, long-lasting treatment, so we insist on using only the highest quality materials and techniques to achieve our results. We build time into our schedule for personal conversations with you that result in a powerful rapport and trust, allowing you to take confidence in the excellent dentistry we offer.
Another big difference is Dr. Andy Chang is a dental specialist specializing in the field of Prosthodontics. This very refined, ADA recognized specialty, involves cases of more complicated cases of cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry. This specialty allows Dr. Chang the ability to tackle any potential dental issues from the simplest filling and general/family dentistry to a complex full rehab and/or dental implant case.
The clinical skill, attitude, and attention to detail at Elite Dental Associates are second to none. We could try to describe the difference all day, but we'd love more than anything to show you!
We will need your driver's license, insurance card, and a list of any medications you are taking, including over-the-counter medications. If you have been instructed in the past to take antibiotics before any dental procedure, please call us to verify if it will be necessary for your initial visit. Our initial patient forms are online for your convenience. You can print them and fill them out prior to your arrival if desire so.
On the cleaning, typically the answer is yes if you have been keeping up with a dentist recommended regular cleaning schedule (usually every 6 months). However all cleanings (or dental prophylaxis) are diagnosed during the initial exam and if there are indications of gum or periodontal disease a different type of cleaning may be recommended and, depending on the schedule of the doctor, may need to be scheduled on another day. We, though, will do our best to start some type of treatment If your jawbone is not deep or wide enough to support root form or plate form implants, and there is too much bone loss, then consider having a subperiosteal implant.
We accept majority of PPO insurance plans.
PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization, and simply means the dentist has made an agreement with the insurance company to charge a reduced fee for certain procedures. "In-Network" describes a dentist that has agreed to the fee contract or "fee-schedule" set forth by the insurance company for its members. An "in-network" dentist is not allowed to charge fees higher than those set in their specific fee schedule.
It is our pleasure to file any insurance claims associated with our service directly to your insurance carrier. Our office is very high-tech when it comes to insurance claims and submissions. As a matter of fact, we have a computer program that links to a national database of insurance companies that allows us to look up your insurance provider, plan, and coverage almost instantly.
If your carrier is as up-to-date as we are (in over 60% of the cases), the claims will be transmitted online before the end of your treatment day! In addition to filing the claim, we will usually ask you only for your estimated co-payment following the completion of your treatment or procedure. We find that 90% of the time we will be able to calculate your copayment even if we don't directly participate with your insurance carrier. However, please understand that this is only an estimate and is based upon the information available to us. Once your insurance carrier receives the claim and made their determination and has paid the claim, any difference will be due by you upon receipt of our statement.
We consider our relationship with you to be of primary importance and will always make our recommendations based on what we believe is the very best treatment for you regardless of your insurance coverage or financial arrangements.
For your comfort and convenience, we offer a wide range of financial options and welcome your suggestions and questions.
|Pre-payment in full||A pre-payment bookkeeping courtesy of 5% will be given for direct payment in full by cash prior to treatment.|
|Major Credit Cards||All major credit cards accepted to retire any patient balance and cover copayments.|
|Care Credit||No interest financing options will leave you smiling and able to pay for crowns, veneers, implants, and more over time and within your budget. Care Credit makes elective dental procedures affordable for any budget.|
|Pay as you go||You may choose to pay your obligation for each visit with Cash, Check or Credit Card at each visit.|
|Gradual Treatment Plan||For those patients on a limited budget. By prioritizing treatment, those patients who do not have dental insurance or are on a tight budget can still complete their dental work by spreading appointments over several months or years.|
We make every effort to make your visit soothing and relaxing! Stereo headphones, dark glasses, music and movies from our selection or from your own collection and blankets are all available for your comfort and relaxation. For some of our most nervous patients, nitrous oxide can be administered safely and comfortably to you through a nose piece, but most of the time we find it unnecessary given our standard of care.
For patients, though, that are extremely phobic and need more than nitrous oxide to alleviate dental anxiety, Dr. Chang may use oral conscious sedation or IV sedation depending on your unique case. For oral sedation, you'll simply take a sedative prior to your treatment to promote relaxation and banish fear. Your comfort is important to us, and we'll do all we can to provide a positive, soothing dental care experience.
Our friendly dental staff is always here to serve you and make you comfortable. Talk to us about your anxiety and we can work through it together.
Yes! Flossing daily removes hidden bits of food and rids your mouth of bacteria that can turn into plaque, the creator of cavities and gum disease. If you don't remove plaque, that sticky, colorless film that forms on your teeth each day, by brushing and flossing, it hardens into something called calculus, or tartar. This calculus builds up under your gums, increasing your risk of gum disease.
The bacteria in plaque also produces toxins that irritates the gums and causes them to pull away from the teeth. This results in periodontal pockets which fill up with toxins and bacteria, which ultimately destroys the bone that holds the tooth in place. If left untreated, the affected teeth will become loose, eventually falling out or needing to be removed.
